Hair and makeup styles are subject to change, and up to the discretion of the dance instructors. Hair and makeup styles for upcoming competitions will be listed below as made available. For makeup, follow the generalized makeup guidelines unless otherwise posted.
Generalized Dance Makeup
Tips on how to do your dancers makeup:
Prep the skin:
- Moisturize the skin to create a smooth base for makeup
- Apply primer to help makeup last
The face:
- Use full-coverage foundation in a shade that matches your dancers skin tone
- Apply setting powder to set the makeup
- Apply a strong, high-pigmented red/pink blush to cheekbones
Eyes:
- Blend a dark brown shadow onto the eye lids and blend the edges
- Use a black liquid or gel liner on the lash line (consider water proof liner)
- Apply black, waterproof eyeliner to the lashes, or a natural false lash
Lips:
- outline lips with a red lipliner
- apply a red, vivid, long-lasting lipstick
Setting Spray:
- finish with a setting spray for long lasting makeup
